GORDON BLUE even go further by morphing Deep Purple's speedy “Speed King" into a Latin swing. All this works perfectly without any guitar: From Golden Earring's “Radar Love" and Jimi Hendrix' “Hey Joe" to “Still Got The Blues" and “Walk On The Wild Side".
...Und damit ist eigentlich schon alles gesagt. Gleich im Opener “Whole Lotta Love" machen GORDON BLUE ihre Botschaft klar. Was im Original ein stampfender Rock-Klassiker für tanzwütige Hippies war und ist, funktioniert clever umarrangiert auch perfekt als loungiger Jazz-Groove. Noch einen Schritt weiter gehen GORDON BLUE, indem sie aus Deep Purple's “Speed King" einen Latin Swing der Extraklasse machen. GORDON BLUE kommen übrigens gänzlich ohne Gitarren aus und transportieren den tanzbaren Hippie-Rock von Golden Earring's “Radar Love" in eine blühende Swing-Landschaft, den treibenden Groove übernimmt das Piano.

...das gab es auch im Hippie-Rock der Siebziger. Eins der besten Beispiele hierfür war "Radar Love" der holländischen GOLDEN EARRING. GORDON BLUE transportiert den Titel in eine blühende Swing-Landschaft, den treibenden Groove übernimmt das Piano - und flechtet noch ein kurzes Birdland-Zitat ein.
